ABOUT ME

Born and raised in a small town in Vermont, I am fortunate to have grown up surrounded by skilled artists in a community that values artistic expression. Starting at an early age, I would join my mother and her friends as we took over the dining room table and made mosaics for holiday gifts. Our collection of broken ceramics grew so large that I am still using pieces from it today. Over the years I have continued to add to our collection through friends, artists, studios, and even restaurants. Occasionally, I’ve been found picking through the trash can in the kiln room of local clay studios.

Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese art of restoring broken pottery by fusing the pieces back together with gold. From this I have drawn my inspiration to reform broken art into something new and whole. I design coat hooks, key hooks, bottle openers, wall planters, and many other innovative pieces. I am constantly pursuing knew ways of incorporating fine art with functional, while giving a second life to the beautiful pieces I've found.

I wouldn't be able to create my art without the amazing potters who have donated their pieces to me:
