Have you ever thought about what happens behind the doors of a pottery studio? How often does a piece of pottery break in the kiln, or during transportation, or a glaze doesn’t fire correctly? Believe it or not, mistakes happen all the time and sometimes these mistakes are not reversible. All too often, these mistakes are just thrown away. I have found a way to repurpose these pieces that ceramic artists have spent hard work and energy creating, and I am able to reuse their pottery to produce unique, functional mosaics.
